We're excited to see you in Long Beach this year!

The California Academy of Family Physicians (CAFP) looks forward to welcoming you to our 2020 Family Medicine Clinical Forum: Learn, Connect, Celebrate!

Join us Friday, November 13 through Sunday, November 15 at the Long Beach Hilton Hotel.

Learn: You will receive quality, evidence and case-based education that is designed with your busy schedule in mind! Key learning points will be clear and access to additional information and resources easy to retrieve!

Connect: You will have ample opportunities to make new personal and professional connections. This year, we're asking you to let us know if we can help connect you with others - either as a mentor or mentee or just someone looking for additional connections. We also have quality vendors in the exhibit hall and fun activities and social events designed to help you catch up with friends new and old.

Celebrate: You will be inspired by Saturday's Celebration Luncheon that highlights the best of Family Medicine, by the excellent work of Residents displaying their award winning posters and you'll celebrate along with colleagues as you experience the joy and "family" of Family Medicine firsthand.

  • FRIDAY: The Forum opens Friday at 3:30 PM (Exhibits open at 2:30), with an exceptional Covid-19 Panel Discussion and an all-member Poolside Party in the evening. We also have a brand new Palliative Care KSA and Pre-conference POCUS workshop available Friday mid-morning.

  • SATURDAY: Optional wake-up to wellness, then breakfast with the exhibitors or your local chapter and we begin the day with one of CAFP's most popular faculty members George Kent and Celebration Lunch. We will give you free time after lunch to connect with friends and end the main programming at 4:15 PM. You can participate in optional sessions afterwards on topics like Practice Inquiry and Mentor-Mentee "speed dating."

  • SUNDAY: Begin with the 5K FUNdRUN, Table Talks at breakfast, and a CAFP update before the excellent CME sessions (including the popular "Family Medicine Update") before the conference ends at 12:00 pm -- so you can attend a post-conference KSA or workshop, head home or spend the day enjoying the beautiful Long Beach area.

In addition to the standard meeting registration, we are offering two ABFM Knowledge Self-Assessments (KSAs) to help with your MOC requirements and two Hands-on Workshops. These sessions take place before and after the Forum and require an additional fee. Space is limited and you must register in advance. We've also added a special registration fee for your practice team members.
